Japan's transit systems — including Shinkansen schedules, IC card systems, QR ticketing, and local rail networks — are subject to rapid operational changes. While JEMS strives for precision in all deliverables, we cannot be held liable for:

• Schedule changes, platform reassignments, route modifications, or service cancellations by transport operators
• Changes to ticketing systems, fare structures, or IC/QR card compatibility
• Closure of temples, shrines, restaurants, or other venues without prior public notice
• Changes to local regulations, entry requirements, or cultural site access policies
• Natural disasters (earthquakes, typhoons, volcanic activity), pandemics, political events, or other force majeure events that disrupt travel

By engaging JEMS services and participating in Arrival Mastery Workshops, Ticket Lab sessions, or Shadow Guiding, the Client acknowledges:

• The inherent risks of navigating busy urban environments, public transit hubs, and unfamiliar locations
• That JEMS provides education and support for independent travel — the Client is responsible for their own decisions, movements, and safety
• That Shadow Guiding is advisory and educational, not a personal security or protection service
• That comprehensive travel and medical insurance is the Client's responsibility and is strongly recommended

The content on the JEMS website — including the Itinerary Builder, Cost Estimator, example itineraries, and informational pages — is provided for general informational and planning purposes only.

• Cost estimates are illustrative and based on typical spending patterns — they are not quotes or guarantees of actual costs
• Example itineraries are illustrative — every JEMS engagement produces a fully bespoke plan
• Currency conversions are approximate and based on exchange rates that fluctuate
