Rent a bicycle (¥400) to ride across the sandbar. The view from Kasamatsu Park (cable car) is the classic "matanozoki" (upside-down viewing) spot.

About
Amanohashidate is a 3.6km pine-covered sandbar spanning Miyazu Bay, considered one of Japan's three most scenic views. The tradition is to view it upside down between your legs from the hilltop viewpoints.
Crowd Avoidance
Visit on weekdays and arrive early for the best experience with fewer crowds. Avoid national holidays and peak tourist seasons.
