About
Tsukiji Hongwan-ji is a striking Buddhist temple with Indian architectural influences — unusual for Japan. The interior features stained glass, a pipe organ, and free lunchtime organ concerts. The temple cafe serves excellent breakfast.
Crowd Avoidance
Visit early morning at opening time or late afternoon to avoid tour groups. Weekdays are much quieter than weekends.
